When we started our school garden, we never thought so much of the community would support us! This post is a big thank you to all of our school garden sponsors!
We contacted Lowe’s in need of some naturally water and bug resistant cedar wood and the management at our local Lowe’s were very kind and gracious. They donated all the cedar wood we needed.

Thanking Our Local Lowe’s Team
Lowe’s doesn’t support a few schools here and there, but they’re known for helping out:

Ours is One of the Many Schools Lowe’s Helped
To add minerals to plant soil, we needed to add some finely crushed rock. We spoke to White Rock Quarry and they were generous enough to give us some bag fulls! Thank you for your help!

All the items we needed were discounted or donated by our sponsors!
Flamingo Road Nursery was gracious enough to lend us their expertise and give us their school discount! This helped greatly. The marigolds were absolutely beautiful!

Thank you Flamingo Road Nursery for helping us with soil and plants!
Khan’s Nursery was there from the very beginning and gave us some insight and donated more than enough weedblock ground cover to lay on the bottom of our garden bed.

Here is Khan’s Nursery’s contact information.
We couldn’t get our rain barrel groove on without Miami-Dade County’s Cooperative Extension Office. The county even came by and gave the kids a workshop on water conservancy and gardening! We were so glad to meet them. You can read more about it by clicking here.

Most of all, we would like to thank all of our friends, volunteers, and the students and staff at Clara Mohammed school.

These are some enthusiastic young gardeners!
Thank you everyone! We couldn’t have made the community and school garden a reality without your help 🙂
Humanity is family. Thank you and God bless.
